Steve May becomes Fellow of the Institute of Couriers
 

TSC Director and Chairman of The National Courier & Despatch Association, Steve May, is honored with a Fellowship to the Institute of Couriers at the House of Lords.
 

Stephen started as a qualified electronics engineer and was part of a global distribution component company. Having found his way into the courier industry Stephen’s passion of changing the way clients viewed the courier industry was to take the shape as Founding director of the Sameday Company. His involvement in the industry has seen him take chairmanship of the National Courier and Despatch Association. Stephen is recognized for his professional contribution of knowledge, dedication for the improvement of Sameday Express standards within his own company and that of the Sameday Express Courier industry.

The IoC seeks to encourage knowledge sharing and development of individuals own competence in the application of courier skills. It is the individuals with the appropriate knowledge, energy and skills that make the difference and can affect the provision of, delivery of and the standard of skills the industry shows to its clients. Individuals effect the change within an organisation. IoC membership sends a clear message to employers, clients, and other stakeholders that you as a recognised member have committed to industry standards and quality of skills to benefit the service you provide. Alongside the IoC a recognised member sends a powerful message of delivery excellence.

Stephen was gowned, along with 11 new fellows, by IoC President Viscount, Lord Falkland and IoC Chairman Carl Lomas MBE
 

This year’s honorary gown was presented to TfL commissioner Mike Brown, the gowning was followed by addresses, to the Fellows of 2016, from honorary Fellows Sarah Bell & Sir Peter Hendy.
